30 June.
Had a good weekend at The Truck Show at Santa Pod.
Blazing hot and sweating buckets, sorry, us gentlemen perspire.
The first run on Saturday I tried jumping the lights and messed the run up. 2nd run the timing slipped and I poodled up the track, (yes a poodle could have gone quicker)
1st run on Sunday I did a burnout then ran out of fuel, (me prat) got pushed back by a marshal who got stuck to the oh so sticky track and then fell under the wheel. The ambulance picked him up and looked after him, (sorry Slick, don't know his real name) then ended up running a 7.9. Thought I'd better retire by then so let Tom have the last run but the air was so hot that the car was starved of oxygen and he ran a 8. Oh well, suntan, mates and booze what more could a man want.

If you happen to be around Faversham Farming World on July 4th then pop in and have some fun.
We went to Shakespeare County Raceway again on the 29th, 30th May & 1st June. Rained all day Saturday which we were expecting then on Sunday I went out and ran a 7.8, bit dissapointing but okay for the 1st run.
Due to unpredictable weather I thought I would be kind and let Tom have a drive just in case; damn him, he went and ran a PB time & speed 7.5 @ 184mph. Cracked open the champagne for that one though.
I told Tom that he can't have another drive until I can match him so I did both runs on Monday, 1st was a sideways 11 second then later in the day did a stonking burnout (see pics courtesy of peter Donaldson) then managed a 7.6, close but no cigar.
I would like to thank all the photographers fo everything they do and of course all the track people who keep watch over us.
Also I'd like to say a special hello to Rebecca Amos for being a great fan. See their video here.
See this link for a new page of photos.
We are doing a show this weekend at St Nicholas at Wade near Margate with maybe a few fire-ups on Saturday evening and Sunday.
Next race meeting is at Santa Pod for the Truck Show on 26th & 27th June.
We went to Shakespeare County Raceway on 15/16 May for my 60th Birthday weekend.
Had a lot of relatives and friends turn up, thanks everyone.
On Saturday at the end of racing, Jerry Cookson kindly allowed me to do my first and the first for many a year, a Flame Burnout.
It was a mild one for health & safety reasons but we all had fun doing it. A lifetimes wish come true. Thanks to all at the track.
Had a good party and BBQ after and no, I didn't drink too much.
New pics here thanks to Ingrid & Martin Chesworth and a couple of
videos here thanks to Dave Derry and my son Dan.

Well, we got to the Pod on Friday at 1pm (the 1st there) and got sorted ready for Saturday.
I did the 1st 2 runs which were a bit crap but the 2nd was a trans-brake launch, wheels up and going everywhere but straight and I was laughing all the way . Tom did the 3rd on Saturday and the only one on Sunday. Track was too cold for the car, not enough traction and due to the cold was running too rich.
But we had a great time with the rest of the Supercharged Outlaws then decided to come home at 3pm Sunday ready to go to the BHP Show, so much for plans, the starter motor broke on the Ambulance.
We tried all ways to fix it just to get home but no such luck. Breakdown truck came at 9:30 pm but could only take the ambulance and not the trailer so that is still there, got home at 3am Monday and had no car to take to the BHP Show (SORRY guys) we will make it up to you.
Hope to get a starter motor this week, fit it and go to the Pod next weekend to get the trailer.
Then on to my Birthday Bash at Shakey on the 14th.

Well we made it to the Flame and Thunder at the Pod but unfortunately it was Rain n Thunder.
We ended up just doing 2 runs on a damp day, 7.8 and 7.9 which was a bit dissappointing but still 7s so have to be happy with that.
That's it now until Easter time when the new season starts so all is packed away and all we can do now is dream of more good racing.
